The project by XploreOpen will build an ORCID Community of Practice through bilingual training, workshops, and online resources tailored to the needs of researchers, administrators, and librarians. By training 200 individuals and establishing a network of 100 ORCID advocates, it will foster sustained adoption, empowering researchers to connect globally. Indirectly, the project could impact over 10,000 individuals as trained advocates disseminate knowledge and integrate ORCID into institutional workflows.
The project “Pakistan Open Infrastructure Outreach Initiative” (POIOI) seeks to transform Pakistan’s research ecosystem by promoting open data-sharing practices among Higher Education Institutions and Research & Development organizations. Through targeted training, the integration of DataCite DOIs, and the establishment of the DataCite Pakistan Network, the project aims to enhance research visibility, build technical and operational capacity, and foster global collaboration.

This project titled as DIGITAL ARTIFACT on Cultural heritage outlook of Sindh, Pakistan reports the online digitized heritage collections which are archived on the website of antiquities and are being shared for public consumption but CC tools (CC0 or the Public Domain Mark) are not being adopted to share them.
The main proposition of this project/ case study is to evaluate the cultural heritage of Pakistan while focusing on the GLAMs located in Karachi, Sindh. For addressing the above-mentioned proposition, several research questions were framed for evaluating the accessibility of archived records and heritage contents by Karachi GLAMs.
The study/project was based upon a research survey for analyzing whether different higher education universities across various disciplines were aware of Creative Commons and its core functions and how and where they are utilizing the platform of Creative Commons. A sample of 206 Pakistani editors, professors, researchers from across disciplines from Pakistani Universities.
